Late last year we posted about the progress of the main Winter Storm Archive dating back to 1994. As of February 2nd, 2026, that archive has been completed back to 1994 with 294 winter storms and counting. Each storm has snowfall maps for Southern New England, the Tri-State Area and Connecticut as well as a full radar loop and surface/upper air maps. The larger 12"+ events, that are also located in the Historic Snowstorms Archive, include additional images and maps as well as a Lower Northeast snowfall map. If you would like to see only the snowfall maps by region and by season you can visit the Snowfall Maps Archive page. For season total snowfall maps see the Seasonal Snowfall Archive. And finally we have a dedicated page for Winter 25-26.

As winter 2025-2026 rolls on through February we will continue to update that page as storms happen as well the season-to-date snowfall maps. So far we are nine storms deep into the season and with all of February, March and April to go we on are track for one of the busiest seasons in quite a while. The last time we had over ten 3"+ storms was the 2020-2021 season.

The main Winter Storm Archive is complete, however, the website is a continual work in progress and there are many more additions coming in 2026. Here is a list of some upcoming projects to be added to the JDJ site in 2026.

  • Completed Winter 25-26 page with final season total snowfall maps

  • Adding seasonal snowfall for the 1994-1999 seasons

  • Refreshing all seasonal snowfall maps for CT & Southern New England + adding Tri-State Area

  • Updated historic snowstorms with new maps and Lower Northeast maps

  • Additional maps to be added in the Snowfall Maps Archive that didn't make the main archive

  • More historic snowstorms will be added from 1888-1994

If you ever want to see what's new in the archive and website as a whole you can check out the Major Website Updates page.

Thank you for visiting our site and enjoy the archive!
