Rain Event Today

The rain has ended across the state, we expect a few breaks of sunshine this afternoon and evening. Temperatures along the shore should reach right around 60 degrees and temperatures in Northern CT are to reach in the range of 61-65 degrees. The remainder of the day will be mostly cloudy, clearing overnight. Isolated chance for a shower tonight, chances seem to be low.

Weather Discussion: Weekend Heat Wave

Saturday looks like it could be brining record heat with temperatures in Northern CT, getting in the range of 96-99 degrees. Possibly beating the record of 93 degrees set in 1996 for the Hartford Area. The shoreline is forecast to remain a little cooler in the range of 83-87 degrees. Sunday looks to be slightly cooler but still hot with temperatures in the mid 90s possible. The shore should be in the mid 80s. Sunday has the potential to beat the record high for the date. The current heat record is 95 degrees and it hasn't been beat since 1992.

There is potential for temperatures to be warmer than average next weekend if we get enough ridging along the East coast. Still watching for pressure changes and any low pressure systems as these can change everything. Will continue to keep you updated on any possible changes.
