AM Rain, Possible Record Weekend Heat; Early Memorial Day Outlook

AM Rain
Rain this morning will wind down through the state between 9am and12am. The high temperatures will be between 60-65 degrees. The afternoon hours will be dry with a slight chance of a PM shower or storm. Lows look to be within the range of 51-54 degrees. Rainfall totals will range from up to three quarters of an inch in SWCT, only a quarter of an inch in NECT.
Weekend Heat
This weekend we could be seeing record heat. With temperatures having the possibility of reaching 95 degrees in the Hartford Area on Saturday, beating the previous record for May 21st by 2 degrees. This temperature record has been held since 1996. Sunday looks like it could also have temperatures reaching 95 degrees in the Hartford Area matching the record of 95 degrees that was met in 1992. The immediate shoreline although cooler will still be warm with temperatures in the low to mid 80's.

Memorial Day Outlook
Early look at Memorial Day weekend, temperatures will have the potential to be well above normal again. This far out there is still plenty of uncertainty and the forecasted pattern can still change, stay tuned for updates.
