As expected we broke a lot of records today at official airport sites across New England and the Tri-State Area. Below is a list of all the high temperatures and records compared to the previous years.

Both climo sites in Connecticut broke their previous records as well as Worcester, MA. Newark, NJ reached an unbelievable 101 degrees, breaking the previous record set just last year. At New York, a temperature of 96F was obtained and although it is a tie, it replaces the very old record dating all the way back to 1888! Boston, Providence, La Guardia and JFK all fell short, however.
With temperatures tomorrow forecast to be even hotter than today by a couple degrees, we'll likely see some more broken records.

We'll issue another update tomorrow night as this extreme heat wave continues.
