MAJOR SNOWSTORM MONDAY INTO TUESDAY AM

Guidance is starting to really hone in on a MAJOR CT snowstorm starting after 1am Monday morning in SWCT and slowly spreading north and east throughout the day. We will time out all the details for you during the day on Sunday.

We are concerned about a long duration snow event with strong winds and heavy wet snow creating blizzard conditions and near impossible travel conditions Monday afternoon. Our first call of 6-12" statewide will be adjusted upwards in some areas of the state tomorrow. We will keep you informed all day long. I'll leave you with the GFS ensemble system snow forecast showing the chances fo 6" or more and 12" or more across our area. You can see the best chance of over 12" of snow is in the south west half of the state, odds are increasing at this moment for a major snowstorm.
