How Much Snow Did We Get This Season?

The answer, well, not that much. Compared to normal, much of Southern New England and the tri-state area came in well below what is considered "normal". The normal or average snowfall is a rolling 30 year period (updated every 10 years). We are currently in the 1991-2020 normal period.
The five sites that officially keep snowfall records for southern New England are Bridgeport Sikorski Airport, Windsor Locks Bradley International Airport, T.F. Green Warwick International Airport, Worcester Regional Airport and Boston Logan International Airport. All these sites came in with about +/- 50% of the seasonal snowfall compared to normal. This makes the fourth season in a row below normal and the third season in a row well below normal.
Below are the final seasonal snowfall maps for winter 2024-2025. Assuming, of course, we are completely done with snow. While it's extremely unlikely we will see anymore of the white stuff this season, it's not impossible. See: May 8-9th 2020 and May 9-10th 1977.
Our site has been updated with seasonal snowfall progression animations, as well as maps and statistics for the 24-25 winter season. Check it out here.
