Rain/Snow mix Tuesday, some accumulation in far NW interior.

Rain and snow will develop from west to east across the region Tuesday morning after daybreak. Wet snow will quickly change to a cold rain for most of the area. The heaviest precipitation will fall between 10am and 6pm. However, those that stay snow for longer near the Mass border will see potential accumulations on the order of 1-3" - several inches of snow are likely in the Litchfield and Hartford County hills. For the rest of the state we can't rule out a coating to an inch before the changeover, the shoreline is expected to see all rain.
