Happy Friday! Winter is here a bit early in Connecticut! We have some snow and cold in our forecast!
A period of moderate to heavy snow squalls are possible especially in Southern CT between 7-9pm this evening. Visibility may quickly drop as snow squalls may leave a quick dusting of snow in some communities.

Temperatures will hover around 40 on Friday, then temperatures will drop quickly as gusty snow squalls move in later this evening. Wind chills will make it feel more like 20-30 degrees through the weekend with wind chills in the teens overnight. High temperatures will be in the 30s over the weekend with lows in the 20s.

The holiday week features a very volatile weather set-up. The upper-air weather pattern will be extremely amplified and "blocky". This means that depending on what side of the jet stream we are on will have significant weather implications. Also the "blocky" nature of the atmosphere could help aid a significant winter storm somewhere along the east coast by Thanksgiving weekend. Stay tuned!

As of now seasonal temperatures are forecast for Thanksgiving, however this is a very low confidence forecast, with plenty of cold-air nearby and a potential significant storm nearby, this could change.
