Another day of recording breaking heat for Southern New England and the Tri-State Area. Most locations topped out in the upper 90s to low 100s once again. Boston and Worcester weren't quite as hot as yesterday but everyone still managed to get up into the 90s. Six out of our local ten climo sites all saw records today.

Here's a list of all the high temperatures and records we saw this week, Monday through Wednesday. Tuesday was by far the hottest day with every site breaking a record.

Relief from the heat is coming immediately with a cold moving through from the northeast. This will bring with it much cooler weather and a chance of showers and thunderstorms through Saturday. Temperatures will be in the 70s tomorrow and even 60s on Friday. This cold front will eventually stall and move back north as we head into the weekend, keeping the weather unsettled for the next few days.
