Cloudy and humid with highs in the 70s. Periods of rain in the afternoon and tonight, some heavier rain and thunder is also possible primarily for Western CT. Friday AM will be cloudy with areas of mist and fog with a few light rain showers in the morning before we see some clearing after midday, an isolated PM shower is possible, highs will be in the 70s.

Weekend Forecast Update:
Saturday: Sunny, with some wind. Temps inland in the range of 75-80 degrees. While the shore will be right around 75 degrees. Light west wind of 5 to 10mph with gusts around 20mph. Temps dropping into the 50's overnight.

Long Range Cooler Temps:
We still expect temperatures for the first half of June to be be at or below normal with temperatures mostly in the 70s. We also still expect temperatures to begin to warm to more seasonable levels into the 80's for the rest of June. Some days may be warmer or cooler based on areas of low and high pressure.
Alex Impacts?
Run Down:
Invest 91L which is partially fueling from the remnants of Hurricane Agatha which recently made landfall in Southern Mexico as a Category 2 Hurricane with 105mph winds. Invest 91L is becoming more and more likely to take the first name of Alex in the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane season. Invest 91L or "Alex" is likely to make landfall in southern Florida as a high grade tropical depression or low grade tropical storm. Invest 91L is unlikely to become a Hurricane due to high wind shear. The winds won't be a big issue for Florida, however rainfall for Southern Florida may cause flooding with a widespread 5-8 inches. Localized higher rainfall is certainly possible.
In Terms of Connecticut:
Invest 91L will not have any affect on Connecticut in terms of weather or even currents in the Sound. The Track is too far away for invest 91L or "Alex" to have any impact on CT. "Alex" will make a trek through Southern Florida towards the middle of the Atlantic. Although "Alex" may strengthen after passing through Florida there will still be no effects in terms of CT.
