We are gradually emerging from an exceptionally cold start to the month. On Wednesday, temperatures rose to the mid-40s. Thursday will see even milder conditions, with highs ranging from 45 to 50 degrees. From Thursday night into early Friday morning, temperatures will increase to the 50s, accompanied by rising humidity, heavy rain showers, and strong wind gusts. Wind gusts are expected to reach 40-50 mph, with isolated gusts potentially reaching 60 mph during the heaviest downpours.

By midday Friday, the rain will subside, and temperatures will rapidly drop into the 40s. By Friday evening, it will become bitterly cold, with temperatures in the 20s and wind chills in the teens, accompanied by gusty winds and a possible snow squall.

The weekend is expected to be quiet and seasonable, continuing into Monday. We are monitoring another weak storm system anticipated on Tuesday, which may bring snowfall and the possibility of a White Christmas. Stay tuned for further updates on this storm and our chances for a White Christmas. - JDJ
