BLIZZARD of 2021RECAP

The Blizzard delivered with some impressive final snow totals! A blizzard was also verified in southern and central CT at Oxford and Bridgeport Airports, which means an official airport observer recorded winds of greater than 35 miles per hour and visibility less than a quarter of a mile for 3 consecutive hours, it was actually 4 hours at each location.

Below is the actual snow total map compared to our forecast map showing verification of our forecast. This is a detailed process that takes several hours as we have to sort through each report and verify based on radar observations to see if the number makes sense. We have a closer view of Fairfield and New Haven counties as well as storm totals for all verified reports in CT.
