Today's Rain and Storms; Thursday Night Into Friday Rain, Weekend Weather, Long Range Temperatures

Today's Rain Event:


Isolated showers or even a thunderstorm are possible early this afternoon. More numerous showers and storms will spread through the state later this evening. Scattered thunderstorms and rain are possible tonight and through the morning Thursday. Heavier rain in thunderstorms are possible. Otherwise rain is going to be light to moderate. Expect scattered showers lasting into the early AM Thursday



Thursday Night Friday AM Rain:


Rain will approach SWCT by late Thursday afternoon. Rainfall will pickup up throughout the state overnight Thursday. Rain ends Friday AM with clearing late in the afternoon, skies will be partly cloudy for the afternoon. Rainfall totals for most of the state are a quarter of an inch.



Weekend Forecast:


Saturday: Sunny, Highs inland in the range of 76-81 while highs along the shore are in the range of 72-76 degrees. Saturday night will be clear with lows in the mid to high 50's.


Sunday: Sunny, Highs inland in the range of 74-77 degrees while on the shore expect temperatures in the range of 69-73 degrees. Saturday night temperatures will drop into the 50's.


Long Range Temperature Discussion (June):


Temperature for the first half of June look to be be at or below normal with temperatures mostly in the 70s. We expect temperatures to begin to warm to more seasonable levels into the 80's for the rest of June. Some days will obviously be warmer or cooler based on cloud cover and storm tracks.
